FAQ
CBN’s ability to help promote sleep has been investigated as far back as the 1970’s. While the trials conducted then were not conclusive and more research is necessary, we’ve had a number of customers give positive feedback about the product in the short time we’ve been producing it.
CBG is sometimes referred to as “the mother of all cannabinoids” since all other cannabinoids start out as CBG when the plant is young and develop into other cannabinoids as the plant matures. CBG is also a powerful anti-inflammatory, appears to be an antibiotic, plays a role in protecting the nervous system, and relieves glaucoma pressure, among other things.
What is the difference between broad spectrum and full spectrum?
Full Spectrum tincture contains all parts of the hemp plant–the CBD, of course, plus other cannabinoids like CBN or CBG or CBD. It also contains various terpenes, which give plants their unique characteristics. Full spectrum contains trace amounts of THC–which is another cannabinoid–but only up to .3% of the product by weight. That is the level the Federal Government and the state of NC have found to be acceptable.
Broad Spectrum is the same exact thing as Full Spectrum except it has NO THC.
Unfortunately, there is no exact answer to this. It differs from person to person. Here is a Harvard-y explanation. At the end, the doctor alludes to the promise of hemp and cannabis treatments, although not by name. Everyone’s endocannabinoid system works a little differently and therefore the same dosage will affect people differently. We recommend 25-50mg for children (and only products with no THC) as well as for anxiety or sleep, if CBD helps you with those things. For chronic pain, we recommend at least 100mg daily. That’s why we price our products more aggressively than most of our competition. We don’t want CBD to be too expensive for people to get pain relief.
In the context of hemp products being sold in dropper bottles, no. The industry generally uses . Virtually everyone mixes the CBD with MCT oil.
OK, what is MCT oil:?
MCT stands for “medium chain triglyceride” oil which is the best part of coconut oil.
What is the difference between hemp oil and CBD oil
Technically all oils/tinctures in this industry are “hemp oils” (or tinctures). You can find CBD Oil that is made from CBD isolate and MCT oil, although we don’t carry it. This product is neither full spectrum or broad spectrum. The only hemp ingredient it contains is CBD and no other parts of the plant. The CBD is isolated into a 99.9% pure powder and that is what goes in that type of tincture. Only that is truly “CBD Oil”. The rest are “hemp oils” made from distillates that contain CBD (or, CBD, CBN, etc) as the primary ingredient. But the phrase “CBD Oil” is so recognizable to consumers that just about every company uses it interchangeably with “hemp oil”.
